Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted a canopy bed to make me feel like a princess. This isn't the canopy of my childhood dreams but it certainly adds a lot to the look of my bedroom, and the price is great.
The canopy arrived promptly after ordering (within a week with standard free shipping.) It comes with the ready to hang canopy, 4 hooks, optional plastic anchors,4 little rope ties, and simple typed instructions (no pictures.) Upon opening the box I noticed some minor fraying and slightly uneven edges on the netting. This is not noticeable when hung. It took less than 10 minutes to hang the canopy. After hanging it according to the easy to decipher instructions I stepped back and realized how weird it looked. The two panels that hang horizontally above the bed were almost touching my bed and the sides were a bit saggy. I have a high bed frame and standard sized ceilings so this probably wouldn't be a problem for someone with vaulted ceilings. I then made some simple adjustments. I pinned up the horizontally hung netting to the ceiling using tiny nails, which created a nice look. This method also creates an opening if you have a light fixture above your bed. I also hung the corners on the hook by the fabric lined edge instead of the loops to lessen the sagging. It looks great now. Certainly worth the price. It makes my room look bigger and gives the effect of a four post bed.

I read some of the reviews that said it was too big for a full size, it hangs too low, etc. But I thought since I have a king size bed that I'd be okay. Not so. On a king size four poster bed the top still hangs far too low - about two feet above the bed. I made it work by tying the top parts to the sides (thus creating a hole the shape of a diamond in the top) using the ties provided, but this has made it not as pretty as it could be, and absolutely non-functional as a mosquito net.

This is not at all what I thought it would be. Very complicated to put up. I have a King-sized bed and I did not get the desired look I was hoping to get. This is the first time I've ever had to return anything ordered from Amazon.com, but as the saying goes....there's a first time for everything.
